We missed our Nanny on this Thanksgiving, but did get a chance to visit with her for a little while on Thanksgiving day. She made a full meal that we could not turn down before heading over to Granny's. She made an amazing turkey, with some type of seasoning called "Chicka Licka Boom Boom" or something like that. Some fresh from the garden green beans (or at least after they had been canned for a while), some mac and cheese, and some potatoes. Always a good meal there, I just wish she could have joined us on Saturday where we all met at the Sartins home.
Our newest addition always makes me happy to see her in our family pics. And for Noel and Sam, I am super thankful on this thanksgiving weekend. I pray that the other three find someone as wonderful as she is. I am also thankful for the glowing smile on my new brother in Christ, Jasper. I wanted to give him a hug, but was surprised that he just hugged me back hard, and then excited to tell me about what made him want to make that decision to follow Christ. And he just seemed happier than I have seen him in a long time. I am thankful that our nanny is back at home and not in that hospital. I was happy to see her up and moving around. I know she is glad to be out of that hospital bed.
I love these little ones at this gathering. They all seemed to like the "little magic book", with the biggest laughs coming from CeCi and Link. Hiding ninjas on the front porch with Eloise, Olive, and Theo was fun. I saw a video of Stella, Belle, and Ade playing some weird bouncing game against each other. Magan shared that macaroni was the top pick for kids under 4 feet, and ham got the pick for kids over 4 feet. And a note to Sam...Do not stand near Marcus for a picture, you look like a munchkin next to him.
