Jumping into January

Last January we were in Disneyworld, and lots and lots of blogs.  And while that is mucho fun, I have enjoyed also this more laid back beginning to the year.  Lots of fun memories below...so I will just try and capture a few in words to match the pictures...Davis became a baloon animal maniac with some books from mawmaw and mom...we hit the theatre two nights in a row watching aquaman with some church friends, then returning for Mary Poppins returns the next night...fun times at the botanical gardens with ben, luke, wyatt and ruby...I think ruby and wyatt got married there...tater tot casserole jumping...Rebeccah comes home!...Chuck E Cheese for daddy ruby day...more 3D printing creations...and being silly at AHG.  

 

Scout Camping at Tanneyhill

A few pictures from our January campout at Tanneyhill.  Sam, Davis and I went for only one night and we worked primarily on the cooking merit badge...so the boys ate really well, but then we left right after the rain started coming down.  Actually, the boys were having a fire starting competition about the time the rain came down hard, so it was a little difficult for them.  Davis probably inhaled two much smoke, then later in the day came down with the flu...along with almost all of the middle school.  He was out of school for a whole week.  We quarantined him downstairs and he was seriously not well for that full week, poor guy.  The boys also divided up in teams to make up a marketing sales pitch for made up stuff...my favorite was the razor for babies with facial hair...my type of humor. 

 

Oh and later this night Magan and I went to a rook tournament...and I will not relay any of the details, as Magan will never have a hard time remembering some bad moves that cost us the tournament.  :)
