A Day Out with Thomas

I really can not believe that this was our 5th year at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera, AL. But each year, the boys have a blast, and this year was no exception. Of course the boys found the jumping area first.

Sam had a ball game later in the day, so we did not get to stay as long as we wanted to. Sam’s favorite thing was the putt putt course, which he played about 5 or 6 times. Davis loved Story Time, where you get to sit in an old passenger car and here a story about Thomas. Anabelle liked the big bubble area and listening to the live music. The music is provided by a guy that has been there each year and he is great with the kids. Sings lots of funny songs while with kids sing along.

We ended our day by riding the smaller train at the museum, and the boys loved this because we got to ride on the very back, and watch the tracks go rolling by behind us. It least that is how it appeared to us kids.
