Belle's First Day of School

I can't believe my little girl has started school, and look how cute she looks.  She is already doing well learning her ABCs...we heard several times about the letter i in the word "i", "i", "igloo".  She also was learning her name incorrectly with two "n"s (till Magan corrected it, and sent note to teacher).  Oh well, we probably caused some trouble for her with Anabelle.  She seems to really like the full name of Anabelle, now that she gets to spell it, but also seems to like "Ellie" because her girlfriends like that name.  Also has mentioned to me how much she would like earrings...Ahhhhhh, What is happening at this school?  Davis was very excited to visit on Meet the teacher day, because he got to see his old preschool teacher Mrs. Cheryl.  I think Anabelle's teacher is Mrs. Katherine.

Magan told me that she has made the transition to school with hardly any issues.  She said Belle looked a little sad as she left that first day, but since can't seem to stop smiling when going to school and coming home.  Magan also laughs about how different she is from the boys at this same age..."How was school?" was always answered with a very descriptive "good" from the boys, while answered from Belle with a 20 minute talk about all the fun activities, games, friends, and things that made her laugh during the day.  Girls just use more words.

Stella's Princess B'day Party

Always fun to see the cousins, and anytime is a good time to dress up.  Stella's party was at Chuck E Cheese, but on a weekday so Sam and Davis were unable to be there.  I came during my lunchbreak, just seemed so weird without the boys...

Desoto Cave Visit

I don't know if this will be a yearly thing to get passes to Desoto Caverns, but the kids have really enjoyed this place, and we always have a good time.  I think this was a Saturday shortly after school started back, so we decided to go have some more fun at the Desoto "Wacky" attractions.  All of them love the cave crawl, and Sam and Davis have improved ALOT with the bow and arrows since their scout day camp practices.  I think Sam finally hit a bullseye.  We finished this fun day at the new Applebys in Chelsea...That's right, we have one of those now.

"August"us Gloop

Look what Ruby can do!  And she finds every LEGO, crumb, garbage, anything left on the floor...She's mobile.  AHHHHHH!!!!

Me and mom after the Mt. Laurel "Shake and Bake 5K".  It was great running with her and seeing her post a really good time for a first 5K.  Looking forward to many more.

Meet the teacher night, and Magan had all the kids to herself.  Luckily Shay (that sounded kind of like an Irish Fairy name...ok, may just me) was there to give her a hand.  Davis has Mrs. Brock in the 2nd Grade, and Sam as Mrs. Ibsan (Ibsen, Abdon, Elon...something that sounds like one of the lesser known Judges).  Davis heard us struggling to pronounce Sam's teacher's name, and he told us "My teacher's name is easy...Just two words...Miss  Brock".  Afterwards we ate with John and Shay at PF Changs...where I went crazy ordering appetizers.

First Day of School...Look at these Pals.  Ready to begin 2nd and 4th grade.  Belle starts preschool in two weeks...and wrote a message for the boys out on the road, for when they came home.

So proud and happy for our MawMaw to be in the Senior Ms Alabama pageant.  She represented Cullman County well, and her poem was great!  I will post it in these blogs as soon as she sends it to me.  Great to visit with Tanya and Joe also.
