Back to School time, and now we have three at Forest Oaks. Davis got Mrs. Fincher! And Mrs. Fincher is super awesome! She even has turtles!! She seems to be super happy! And use lots of exclamation points! Davis was overjoyed when he learned about her turtles!
Sam has Mrs. Painter and Mrs. Byrdsong, and has a different teacher for GRC this year. He is getting really tall, and I am afraid I will be looking up to him pretty soon.
Our Belly-Boo has Mrs. Williams, and unlike those boys, she just jumped up in Mrs. Williams lap for a picture. We missed it, but we did get one anyway. Mrs. Williams gave her some magic sprinkles that we placed in Belle's bed to help her sleep the night before the first day of school. She came home from school just a smiling, but Magan came home just a crying.
As I am writing this, it is 4 weeks into school, and all are still happy and smiling. I took them all to school today and ate breakfast to them. We got through the line, and I was so happy to be with them and sit with them at the parent table...Belle looked at me and said "Dad, can I just go sit with my friends?" She then told her mom this afternoon about 10 little boys chasing her as she was playing Elsa. Dear me...that little social bug will be trouble. Sweetest little gal!
Magan said that Ruby just doesn't know what to do with herself most days. But she is getting used to it, and loves when they get home to her. Ruby also makes the mornings interesting in waking up Belle without waking up Ruby. Magan keeps a large stack of stuffed animals in the hallway, then opens the door a crack, and throws animals at Belle until she gets up and out of her room. It's a pretty funny process...Success rate is at about 50% right now.
