Cinderella at the Children's Theatre

I was so excited to take the girls to the Birmingham Children's Theatre to see Cinderella.  This was on a Sunday afternoon, so we went to the new uptown area and had lunch at My Pie before going to see the show.  Pizza was delicious!

At the show, I thought this was a Disney version of Cinderella, and so did the kids...We were way wrong.  There was music and singing, but it was definitely not what we were expecting.  That was somewhat obvious as soon as we saw the three sisters being played by men in drag.  So that was an indicator that this was going to be a little different.  After I think all of us got over a bit of shock, and for belle and ruby perhaps getting over a bit of confusion, we started to laugh and enjoy the show.  Maybe not the best show, but it was humorous, and much better than our last experience here with the Billy Goats Gruff.

Ruby loved the after show portion.  She got to meet all the stars and get their autograph in her book.  She wanted pictures with all the girlies, and even with the sisters until she got up close...then she wanted near her mommy for that picture.
