Another first holiday for a home that lost some magic in 2024. Ruby was excited that the Easter Bunny still created a giant clue hunt leading them to their prizes underneath the blue couch in our room. Both Belle and Sam were nice enough to stumble along with Ruby from clue to clue to help find the treasure. I don't think Sam was home with us last year, so it was nice to have all 4 in the home on this morning, even tho Sam left quickly after breakfast to head up to Cullman.
It's hard to watch Ruby as she really struggles with these holidays recently. She came up to me when it was just her and me and asked "Did the Easter Bunny get me sadness, because I am so sad"? No sweet girl, the easter bunny just thought she was cute and wanted you to have her. And as both me and Ruby are continuing to keep the magic alive...we have both realized that it was a miracle for the magic to every have lasted this long with Magan. Ruby also later that day told me "Mom doesn't hide things very well". And even Sam got a little frustrated with me and Ruby's paper walls of magic, but that's how those big kids are about things. Me and Ruby are a team, and we have just learned to go away and be by ourselves sometimes. As we did later that afternoon making some eggs to decorate and hide in the backyard. Only other thing captured below is the dill pickle jelly beans that were on the shelves this year...yeah, that was nasty.
