So what was going on this month...I took the girls to pickleball cause my boys were gone, I gotta get them ready....5 boys from Davis crossover group now all Eagle Scouts...Noel shows off some skills on the pickleball court, and tells us how the rules were supposed to be followed, apparently my kitchen hits were not allowed...Noel eats an eggroll...Fun times with the Helena VBS...Ruby begins growing a plant...Magan has more stitches with round two of ring finger disaster...Oreo gets his shots...The Big Kaboom with only Ruby this year...Finding Nemo show with our own Stella starring as Dory...Small group at our house, Sam giving the devotion...Katie and Ivey making me laugh with face masks...

Davis and I had a fun night together, setting off to pick up Lisa from the airport one Saturday night.   She was to arrive at 9:45PM, so we planned to get there about at that time, but when we got into Birmingham, the rain started coming down so hard that I could barely drive.   The lighting on the roads is horrible, but we finally made it and parked at the arrivals, then looked at our phones to see that this storm had pushed her airplane to divert to Nashville.   So we figured we could not go home, as her flight would just get in later, so while she was flying to Nashville, and we were watching to see when her arrival time would be, we drove back down 31 to a Waffle House.   It was perfectly busy on a Saturday night, and we sat to eat some waffles and some hashbrowns, and get some of the best coffee there is in all of the USA.   Then Lisa landed and after some back and forth, we learned her flight would arrive around midnight, and by this point, it was 11PM anyway, so we planned to be back up there to pick her up.   We parked in our original spot from before, but a security guard had us move, so I kept making a few loops till she came out, and our late night finally ended with me and Dave getting home around 1AM.   Which was not what we had planned, but it was a wonderful time just getting to hang out with Davis.   Can't remember everything...some strawberry waffles...some bad hearing moments...some miserable waffle house workers ready to go home...and lots of laughter.   Then I think Lisa was delirious also in the car, as she was laughing the whole way home.

We bought another car this month.   This time getting a call from Granddad early on a weekday, saying that he had been talking with Waymon Montgomery, and waymon had been talking with Tim White about a chevy impala they had for sale pretty cheap.   It has low mileage, and had been garage kept, so it hit all the marks for me.   Sam was with him and it seemed good to him as well.   I called Tim, and basically bought the car from him over the phone without ever seeing it.   Told him Sam would bring him the money, and they could sign the papers up in Cullman.   Always nice working with other Christians on matters like this.   And the car seems to be doing great.   Sam likes it, and since it is 1 year older than MeeMaw, we have lovingly called this Chevy Impala "PeePaw".

And just a quick note of two movies that pulled my whole family into the Living Room, and continue to make us smile.   Willy Wonka and ET...Both incredibly made, and while a bit outdated, they still work very well, either with an amazing musical song or musical score, it just can't get much better than classics like that.
