Ruby: The Last Teenager is Here

It is hard to believe that our little Ruby is now a teenager, but the day finally came, and she had a big group of friends over to the house for a sleepover to celebrate.   Magan or maybe Belle put out our normal streamers for the birthday, and it looks like we found her something with a candle for that morning.

With all the girls over for the party, we had some Jacks chicken finger dinners (which was way too much...leftovers for many days) and lots and lots of sweets.   The girls all jumped in the van to go to the Breakout room, where they did "Monopoly:  Get out of Jail".

MONOPOLY: Get Out of Jail! at Breakout Games – Birmingham (located in Homewood) brings the iconic board game to life in a fast-paced, life-sized jailbreak adventure. Designed for 2 to 8 players, this fully private, 60-minute escape room challenges your team to solve themed puzzles and uncover hidden clues to bust out before time runs out. You do not need to be a board game expert to win; while the room is packed with nostalgic nods to Mr. Monopoly, success relies entirely on logic, observation, and teamwork. It is the perfect high-energy activity for weekend outings, family game nights, or corporate team-building events in the Birmingham area.

Ruby said that they escaped with only 13 seconds left.   And both Magan and Ruby admitted to using lots and lots of hints.   Ruby said that they had a lot of problems stuffing money into a bag.   And then Magan said that driving trains backwards and across a room was extremely difficult.   They did get to the Breakout Games 30 minutes early, and Magan said that for 7 girls, this was way to much crazy time for them.   They practiced and practiced just for the upside down pictures.

Back at home Magan got the cool mom award for including some NeeDoh knockoff toys and some light up toys.   I missed the next morning after party, traveling over to MSU with Davis for football.   But Ruby got to go and use her (or really mine...I was forced to sign up) birthday gift at Kendra Scott.  So I think she had a good fun birthday...and she finally got a cell phone.   Happy Birthday my Ruby Gooby. I love you.
