UA Fall Break with Davis

Davis surprised us all by coming home on a Wednesday night for his school Fall Break.   And it was really great having another guy around the house all weekend.   He got to see a rare opportunity that night to see me teach an adult class, which happens about once every decade or so.   So it was fun to see him over there cracking up at me trying to make it through a lesson on Jochebed for 45 minutes...at one time I mentioned that there are some ugly babies.   Oh well, I made it though.

Davis also helped me with my current chess addiction by playing a few games with me, and helping me to realize quickly that I am just bad.   Oh well, that was fun.   He pointed out that the Redemption Church, which is about 5 minutes from our house had a new disc golf course...so me and him and Ruby went to play it one day.   It was actually really fun.   And he stayed with us until Sunday evening for Pickleball with the church.

After our dumb cat broke through the screen in our porch, Davis also helped me fit a new piece of plexiglass over the opening, and things like that just go so much better with either him or Sam helping me.   I am pretty hopeless on my own.   He also got roped into the set up and then the take down of the AHG fundraiser tea.

But mainly, he just kept us laughing with silly stories, and tales of late nights at the library this semester.   The best story is really only his to tell, but I will just share that when his blood is drawn, it is every bit or worse than with John's blood donation story.   I think we all were laughing as he told the same story about 3 times, then telling it again so magan could get it on video.   So if you ever read this and want to hear a funny story, as Davis about getting his blood taken...hahaha...then ask him about the process he tried to use when doing a drug test.   The pictures of him below on the couch are him recreating these moments.   Always wonderful to have the boys back home when they can.
