Date Night

Katie was nice enough to come down last week and watch the kids so Magan and I could have a date night.  Magan and I were very excited, and the kids were also when they found out Katie was coming.  Katie brought them a pizza to make, sauce and everything.  So while they were in the kitchen making the pizza, Magan and I headed out to celebrate our 11th anniversary.

We went to a local restaurant in Mt. Laurel that Magan has to pass by and smell every time she is working down there.  Stone's Throw is the name of the restaurant, and it was VERY GOOD.

Magan got the Peppercorn Crusted Club Steak, Fried Potatoes,  Spinach, Demi Glaze & Poached
Farm Egg...and I got the Mahi Mahi with Sweet Corn, Cherry Tomatoes, Okra, Black Eyed Pea Succotash with Smoked Bacon & Basil Aioli.  Yes, I grabbed the descriptions off the menu, but it was so good and I knew I would not be able to describe it.

We also had a bread and water guy that apparently wanted to tell Magan all about HIM.  She asked HIM about the restaurant, and his crazy response that included him being contracted to come down to Alabama, getting into the editorial business, and something about making films in Alabama is difficult, then concluded with the fact that we should wave should we ever pass him on the street.  Sound confusing, yes...very.  We decided not to ask him anymore questions.

After dinner we went with the crowds of folks watching Avengers, but veered off and watch The Hunger Games instead.  Really Really good.  Some intense scenes and captured everything important from the book.  I guess I may watch the rest of these movies.  And back at home the kids finished their pizza and watched the Muppets with Aunt Katie.  And it was pretty good, we had it the next day for lunch too.
