So we didn't tell the kids where we were going, but were excited to take them to the Opryland hotel. We had all intentions of taking them two years ago, but ended up staying at a nearby hotel, because I apparently pressed the wrong button. But this time, we got the elite Marriot treatment with a special new entrance area and upgrade to an atrium room. We were on the 5th floor in the Cascades Atrium area.
We did some initial touring through the Conservatory Atrium while Magan did some shopping. The kids enjoyed getting to go behind some waterfalls, and "explore" the many "secret" passages. After meeting up with Magan, we drove over to the mall to eat at Maccaroni Grill...where we had the slowest service ever...and cold food...probably because it was slow getting to our table. And finally with the kids begging and dragging us (After the delta boat ride and delta watershow), we went to the indoor pool area. Of course we forgot all of the kids floating devices, so I hung out in the pool with the girls watching them, Sam and Davis played all over, and Magan left us quickly for the hot tub. There was a little stair area along the edge that Ruby just walked back and forth...over and over again...grinning each time. Belle and Davis were excited to tell me about the music playing under water.
Back in our room we settle down for the night, after a quick visit to Starbucks and the cafe that sells Magan's favorite Ooey Gooey Butter cake. So she hung out on the balcony area and enjoyed the waterfall and Cascades area...and I joined her closing the door to our crazy kids...which didn't last long till a little 2 year old opened the curtain and started staring at us. We finally got to sleep with Davis, Belle, and Sam sharing a bed. All was good, but Davis had a bad cough, so it was a restless night.
