We did not win...again. We did not place...again. BUT, we did not lose a wheel on any of our pinewood derby cars for the first time in 6 years. I finally went away from the glue, and just hammered those suckers in. Sam was not with us as he was supporting the Boy Scout Pine Straw sale, but we did catch him as he came by the church building delivering and laying out pine straw. From several of the scout leaders, we heard report that Sam was the equivalent of 5 other workers. They just learned what we all know, that Sam will work till he drops if he needs to. Proud of Davis too, he works hard on these cars each year, but he doesn't have a dad helping him as much as some of the others...but the creations and work is his own, and we competed well this year...taking third place in a couple of heats.
