Family Trip to Buc-ees

We finally made it.  Nothing planned on a Saturday, so we decided it was time to get ready for our Out West trip, and have a trial run, but driving all the way to Leeds, AL to see the all new Buc-ees.  Haha, I had visited previously on a trip to GA, but was excited to bring the family.

So I will not tell you our total price, but we did some major sampling...we tried the sampler fudge pack, tried some Beaver Nuggets (my favorite), some chewy pralines (my other favorite), some Beaver overbite chocolate, some of the many flavors of beef jerky, and I think Sam and Ru even came home with a shirt.  We also got some of the Turkey, Sausage, and Brisket sandwiches for a picnic lunch afterwards.

And our picnic was a small adventure, we drove over to the bass pro shop where there is a back entrance that has a small pond and even a nature pavilion.  We selected the nature pavillion, but realized it did not have any seats, then we realized that we did not bring our chairs, but we were having a fun family picnic, so we sat down on the very dirty ground in the shade of the pavillion.  That is when the misquitos starting biting EVERYONE, and we RAN for the CAR! Our picnic lunch was one within our air conditioned van looking out at the pond.  I did get one picture before the skeeter attack below...when we were still smiling.  Oh well, we tried.
