Montgomery Zoo

So this is our third annual trip down to Montgomery at this time so I can run in the half-marathon, but our trip to the zoo on the friday beforehand is probably the more favorite of the activities.  This zoo is really well laid out, and we have a routine that seems to be unchangeable.  We arrive, we play at the park area with swingset and petting zoo, then ride the skylift to see all the animals from above, tour the zoo, eat lunch in the middle, then finish up the rest of the animals.

Memories from the zoo:
- The birds did not like our food much this year.  Maybe they were cold, but they did not eat our super expensive food.
- Something tells me the elephant measurements below are a little off, don't think I am 6'5".
- Anabelle and Ruby are hamming it up in the center area showing off their dance moves.
- Magan just loved the baby pygmy hippo.
- Probably the neatest thing on this trip was feeding the Ostriches.  Davis would feed those guys all day, Ruby would hand a leaf thru the fence, and just crack up laughing when it grabbed the leaf.

After the zoo, we picked up my race packet, then went down to the river.  On our way back we got a picture with Hank, then went to eat at Wintzells.
