Belle turns 9!

I say this to the kids all the time...and probably write it as well...they better be thankful for their momma during these birthday days.  They get the streamers, the multiple birthday cakes, presents, and no photographic evidence that the lady was even there (Sorry, Magan...your fault that you don't want in many of the pictures...also your fault you are not wearing pants...).  Anyway, for Belle's big birthday wish, it was to have a spend the night princess party.  We only had 4 girls for the spend the night bash downstairs, but Belle did have over Jillian, Linley, Stella, Hannah, and Ruby for her party.

Fun memories from Belle...The spinning flower candle would NOT stop singing, so we had to put it outside, and finally Sam ended up breaking it...Belle loved getting to make the paintings...

Belle's trip to Desoto Caverns

I know she had fun, but the main story I heard later this day...and heard screams later that night was from a splinter received at this field trip coming down one of the wooden gazebos in the maze.  Funny thing, I don't think the splinter hurts really that much, it is the pain of looking into Mom and Dad's eyes when they both think they can get it out no problem.  But altho Magan said she cried like her hand was being chopped off, and that the end of the day was rough, I will say that she was super brave later that night as we just gave her some tweezers and a safety pin, and let her take care of it herself.  And she did, it was out, and crises was averted for the day.

Thanksgiving

A time to be thankful for all these guys below in these pictures.  We visited with both sides of the family, and spent Thanksgiving night at Grannys, with all the kids sleeping over at Aunt Katies.  On Friday, we took a large crew to see Wreck it Ralph 2.  And this year was a big picture failure on my part at Magan's side of the family, as I just completely forgot...and I am pretty sure this was the first thanksgiving I did not fall asleep.  Oh well, we did have plenty of Magan's good camera pics...and I included one of me running to the camera trying to get Olive to smile.  I am think about providing this kid smiling service for lilywhitephotography, but that lady is not offering any incentives.
