Where did June Go?

This was the month that I was attacked by that shark...It snuck up behind me.  I think I had a post last month about visiting with cousins, and it looks like that continued...the kids also got to see mawmaw...and traveled up to Colby and Melissas for one night, a trip cut short by some high fevers...haha...I love this picture of Ben...I think Sam added the words.  Me and the girls went to go see Alice and Wonderland, which was a free Children's Theatre show at the Galleria.  Magan made it to tophat bbq with the kids if you are wondering why they are smiling so big eating bbq below...yes, she also took a picture of the front of the restaurant, but I elected not to include that here.  The soupy soup shop was open for business much this June.  Me and Magan took the girls to see Aladdin, and they dressed for the occasion.  The Bakers (our Chelsea grandma and granddad) took the kids to Dairy Queen.  And the Kids got to spend some time on the farm at the Vinsants.  Toy Story 4 hit me much worse than the Iron Man revelation at the end of Avengers endgame...wow, those toys seem so real now.  What else...oh yeah, Ruby got me to wear a tie...because she is so stinkin cute!  and the boys are busy this summer with models and metal crafts.  Wow, this was a lot of stuff, I just can't believe I am writing this in July...so much more is happening even as I write...well, not really, right now it is just me and Magan here on our own.  The boys are at FC camp and Marcia is watching the girls.  Everyone has been great this month helping Magan as she recovers from her surgery.

The Big Kaboom

Wait...I know me and Sam were here at this event...Oh well, that's what happens while our mom is recovering, dad takes pictures, and they are pretty slim.  Oh, I think there were some fireworks, but we've seen those before, so none made the blog.  The boys just go wherever now, and Belle was super excited for Linley to be back in town after her trip to D.C.  So, me, Ruby and Ansley hit every one of those jumpy houses, then got a giant crème filled cookie from Tees.  And that was fun.  I thought it was so sad at one jumpy house, we waited about 15 minutes for the girls to get in, then they took a wrong turn and left the jumpy house within like 30 seconds.  Ruby's face was so sad...but later we joined that line one more time, and this time I told her to just play in there as long as she wanted, and only take that wrong turn when she was ready to come out....the picture below of her and Ansley behind the blue blow up was just one image of their 20 minute in that area.  :)

Archery Anyone?

Free archery event at Oak Mountain state park...OK, we are in...wait, it costs $19 for our family to get into Oak Mountain now...So, this was fun, but it was not the full merit badge like experience that I took the girls for American Heritage for...but I think everyone had fun.  The boys got to shoot and were actually pretty decent at 20 yard targets...girls stayed with the 5 yard targets.  And Ruby shot one far left into an ant bed, then as I got the arrow, sho nuf...I got big on the knuckle.
