AHG Pioneer Patriot (PiPa) Campout - Rickwood Caverns

As me and Davis were suffering through a wet wet weekend at Tumbling Rock Cave, Anabelle and the PiPas were having a similar wet weekend at Rickwood State Park.   Her adventure began on Friday night with a new tent that she had never used before, and she had to watch a youtube video on how to put it together.   She also let me know that all the chips she was supposed to bring for the troop meal was brought, but was left in the car.

They also had a cave tour, but I think there's was a little more accessible and guided than ours.   They had it decorated for Christmas, with lots of characters in different rooms.   I was told that her friends Bella and Avery interrogated the Ginger Bread Man, and found out that he was engaged to Cindy Lou Who.   Then her other friend Kessa started working with the Grinch to steal Christmas.

And the only other thing I was told was that they enjoyed the fire for one night, and had some cool powders that changed the colors of the flames.  On Saturday, they tried to get a fire started, but as happened to us up in Scottsboro...the rain came and never stopped.   Belle's paper plate award was "Best assembler of Cheese on Bread (and Butter Too)" and "Most likely to blend in with Christmas Decorations with her red poncho on".   She tells me that she got to make all the grilled cheese for the troop dinner, and thus the paper plate.
