Daddy Daughter Day Out

While we actually already had pretty much all the presents we needed for Mom, our annual trip to the Galleria to look for Mom gifts is almost expected by the girls at this point.   And it is one of my favorite times of the holiday season, and a treasured day I look forward to more than those girls will ever know.

We found a new store that had old toys and strange horror toys in it.   It was really cool, and after having to drag an overly dramatic scaredy cat Ruby into the store, she liked it too.   The highlight of this store was a doll that Anabelle and I immediately recognized..."Tina" from the Twilight Zone.   This was a super freaky episode from the old show where a doll came to life and became terrifyingly creepy when she returned to the house after the dad threw her in the garbage.   This episode resulted in many messages going back and forth from Belle to Mom in the shower.   One of them would be in there and when it was hot and steamy, there would be a message from Tina...or a picture of Tina...hahaha, back and forth these messages written to scare the other person.   And I think I would have bought Tina, had she not been $350 in this store, yikes!  "My name is Talky Tina, and I don't think I like you".   "My name is Talky Tina, and You'll be sorry".   "My name is Talky Tina, and I'm going to kill you".

We also did our normal tour of Boxed Lunch and Build-a-bear.   We went into the crazy Earthborn store to see where the crazy hippies shop.  We avoided the HighTop store for awhile, because of Ruby's fear of puking in that store again.   And we got a random picture with a bear that was outside of one of the big clothing stores.   And even tho none of us was incredibly hungry, we had to share a meal from the chinese restaurant in the food court.   We just can not go there without the bourbon chicken, noodles and rice.   And did we get Auntie Annie's?   OF COURSE we did.   And after a load of MSGs and Cinnamon Pretzels, we all went home and crashed.   I love these days with my girls.   Oh yeah, we also got a gift for Mom.   Don't tell her, but it is the candle from bath and body works, the one with the smell she likes so much, the one that she told Belle to get for her if we went to bath and body works.
