After spending the day at Nanny's, Sam and Ruby were already asleep when the others got home from church to set up some cookies and milk for Santa. They also left some reindeer food. Santa left them a letter telling them everything was very good. And the Christmas Elf, Christopher Popinkins, found a seat in the living room to watch the kids open presents. Santa even brought Swimmers a new tank. Davis' new Max Tow Truck can pull "up to 200 lbs", and tested SAT with Sam and Davis on the baby walker...but could not pull Dad sitting on the walker. Magan surprised me with what I refer to as "Bean Bag Toss" game with Mississippi State on it. This has already become a favorite down in the basement. The boys both received Kindles and some science experiments. And Ruby has a fun new ride on Frozen toy. Belle was so happy to the the Anna Coronation dress, and we just love to hear her say how much she loves the "coronation" dress. Mom got the Christensen art print framed for her present. I think all were happy especially my credit card companies.

Chelsea Christmas Parade
Chelsea Christmas Parade time again, and the boys were leading the parade with Pack 353. It was very cold waiting for the parade to start, but we seem to make it through each year with no rain, so that was good. Davis waved to all, and Sam is funny to watch...He wants to smile so bad, but he does not want anyone to think he is having a good time...I am glad to have seen that smile peeking out a few times. The Clydesdale horses were HUGE, very neat to see and a first for the Chelsea parade. Belle and Ruby had fun gathering all the candy thrown their way, and were very excited when Santa was held up by a train, so he was stuck right near where they were standing. But I think Magan thought Santa was probably a little tired of the HoHos for the same bunch of kids.

Mom's Birthday
We took Mom out to Mt. Fuji for her birthday. This is easily our favorite restaurant, and Magan's top choice. Happy 34 to our sweet mom. Glad that the fire and sparklers did not scare Ruby to death this time.

Festival of Lights
This year we visited the Oak Mountain festival of lights that they set up in the parking lot of the Amphitheater. Hmmm...I think this was OK, but I was very glad we came on this night where there was NO wait. The first night we came, it was about a 2 hour wait, so we skipped it, and after seeing the lights, I think that was a very good decision. So, this was OK, but probably not something we will try again. We did get to see Olaf, play in some snow, and get to eat some of Bud's Best cookies. Ruby did love the lights, and her squeals were fun to listen to.
