Southern Museum of Flight

Can you believe that this is Magan's first time to the Southern Museum of Flight?  Only the third time for us other guys, but she had never been with us on the previous trips.  This is where we plan to have Sam's 8 year old birthday party, so we thought we would take the day and scope it out.  It was really fun, and easy to get around.  Plenty of fun exhibits.  No Bouncey House anymore, but lots of legos and Kinect toys.  Simulators are fun, but you don't want me flying you anywhere.  Learned that the Red Baron flew a Fokker D.  Cool Plane...those Germans just had the advantage in WWI.  Smart folks.

Christmas at Nanny's

One day I will get a picture of all the food at Nanny's house on these days...crazy.  Lot's o cousins at Nanny's.  Can you see that Davis' dog got matching shoes as Davis.  He loved that.

Nanny!  Now that is just dangerous.  I would not even trust Davis with a crossbow.  She looks a little terrified.  Nanny had Santa hats for all, Marcus had gloves with no fingers (too cool) for all.  Everybody picked on Marcus for his weird male feline facebook pics, picked on McKenna for her new boyfriend, and for once did not pick on me for sleeping...no nap for me.  Rainy day so all of the kids played inside...can't recall any major incidents other than when Nanny decided to give all of the boys crossbows.  Eli's eye did not fare so well, nor did Sam's bottom after his point blank range firing at Eli.  All in all, in the words of Ice Cube in that Christmas classic...I didn't even have to use my AK, I got to say it was a good day.

Christmas at Home

Milk...check.  Cookies...check.  Letters to Santa...check.  Building Neuschwanstein the night before...check.  We were ready.  Davis put out the reindeer glitter to help Rudolph find his way.  And because of the crazy morning boys, we made them understand that they must NOT leave their bed until they saw sunshine in their room...and it worked at least for everyone except Sam.  He came to our room @ 6:30 talking about how hungry he was (excuse), but up we got and watched all of their little smiles as they saw all that Santa had brought.  Then opened to see what Mom and Dad had got them.

Por Favor, Mantengas Alejado de las puertes!  Sam got the monorail and can you guess what became the castle.  Davis was excited to find 8 new star wars men, and Belle found a Princess Belle.  She loves singing Beauty and the Beast and Be our Guest with this new baby.

This was Sam's first year to buy us all presents and he did great.  We all loved the gifts he bought for us.

Belle opened up Ursula and immediately tried to put the paper back on that Mean Old Lady.  She later found that baby in her bed at nighttime and threw her across the room.  Then called for her mom to remove that Mean Old Lady from her room.

I am pretty sure Magan knew what her present would be when Davis gave her a little hint "Mom, its that thing you build a fire in".  Oh well.

Christmas at Granny's

Kicking off an old fashioned Griswold Family Christmas!  Did I even need to say that Grandaddy's ringtone is "Holiday Road".  :)  But no cousin Eddie, no squirrel, and not near as many Christmas lights.  Sam and Davis immediately went to work with their gifts putting them together, and working on them.  And Belle loved all of her new Barbies.
