Ruby Daddy Day

My little girl is getting so big.  The Ruby Daddy days come rarely, but with the boys gone to winter camp, and Anabelle at a young girls get together, it was a fun morning to go hang out with little bit.  We had big plans, and they all came through.  Our first stop was to try out "Ruby Sunshine", a new restaurant that obviously had the best name for this day.  It is a really popular spot right now, and had a 20 minute wait, but that was ok, we were getting ready for a Disney trip, so we went outside and planned for a day at Hollywood Studios on a bench outside.  While there we watched some of the Muppet 3D movie, and looked into the Frozen sing a long show.  We had two ladies pass by that thought Ruby was just so cute, but I don't recall anyone telling daddy he was cute.

Finally at our table, we tried the Cherry Chocolate Beignets for one appetizer and the candied bacon for another.  We were splurging a bit on our first visit.  Ruby then ordered a cinnamon roll pancake from the kids meal, and I got the honey ham and eggs on turnip greens.  The food was amazing, and as you can see the kid's pancake was HUGE!  Funny, Ruby was already full after the beignets and bacon, so we just took her meal home with us.

Our second adventure was to Hobby Lobby to pick up some stamps.  Ruby has recently become a big stamp collector, sometimes opening just anything and everything in the mail to get the stamps.  But we were excited to get a pack of 300 international stamps in a pack.  What we did not realize is that all of these stamps are still very roughly included on ripped portions of random international envelopes.  But we spent the afternoon cutting (mostly dad) and sorting (mostly dad) and putting them into the notebook (mostly Ruby).  It was fun, we found stamps from France, Belgium, Norway, Japan, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Austria and our most from Germany.  A fun day...a super fun Ruby Daddy day!
