Florida College Camp - Not Home Yet

So we had another fun week at Florida College Camp, but this is my last post of the month, so after asking Belle and Ruby what they liked best, I got blank stares.   So I will share the memories that I have and some ideas of memories that may spark a story one day.   Ruby rode ahead of us on this day with Claire...Excited first of all to be with claire...but secondly that she would get there early and get a bottom bunk, which she did, and it made it so much better already than last year.   Last year, from how it was described to me, she had an evil demon of a girl child on the bunk below her, but FC has done a better job filtering out the demons apparently this year.

We dropped Sam and Noel's car off at the airport before heading further towards camp, so we were one of the last to arrive.   And we had Andrew Rawls in tow, which made me remember fun times with the boys, so as we drove DeLong road into camp, I would roll down Andrew's window and yell "come talk to me" completely embarrassing him as the FC cult ambassadors came to welcome him and Belle with their smiles and strangely distant eyes.   I can't remember everything we did, but I think Andrew was ready to leave our car at his cabin...then me and Jonathan gave him a big hug.

The Anabelle drop off went very easy except for the fact that Magan got to talking and we lost her.   So I was ready to go see Ruby, and Belle was ready to go show us where she was staying, but Magan was in her happy place floating amongst friends and butterflies.   Finally she arrived and we went over to see Ruby for our squeeze hugs.

The rest of the week was a few pictures of the girls, usually with Uncle Mark.   A video of Belle singing an Adele song while Uncle Colby played the guitar.   A belly flopping Terry.   And tales of a last minute comeback by one of the teams causing Wyatt to get his hair shaved all off.  The theme was "Not Home Yet" with some material that I believe Uncle Colby and Terry wrote.    I had shaved my face during this week getting me some nasty looks from the girls, and Colby not even recognizing me.   I heard Ruby tried to set the record with happy mail.   And then it was the end of the week, and I drove over to pick them up for the standard Chick Fil A breakfast in Jasper before returning home.   But as they learned, we were "Not Home Yet".
