Chelsea Christmas Parade

I was somewhat dreading this day, as it was supposed to be extremely cold on this morning, and you typically have to wait about 2 hours for the parade to start moving.  On this morning tho, once the sun came up, it was only cold...not extremely cold.  Magan was finally able to pull herself from the heated vehicle to socialize.  I took the boys and Matthew Kirby (who was planning to walk in the parade with his family, but jumped at the chance to hang out with fellow boy scouters watching Monty Python until the parade started) down to our normal parking spot near the railroad tracks to wait for the parade.

I tried to be the photographer and videographer during this event for the Troop, and captured some fun images and videos.  I don't know how many years now that we have marched in the parade, but it is always fun.  The girls had a little trouble at first not picking up candy for themselves, but then found that they could pick up sonic mints and throw those out to the people when they ran out of candy.  We finished in time to get back and watch the parade and see Santa.  And somewhere along the walk we lost Raggedy Andy, one of Belle's favorite toys, which caused a minor breakdown.  But it is amazing what you can find on Amazon and have ordered that day for two day delivery.

Ruby found a squishy tooth that the dentist were throwing from their float, which fit perfectly with her continual losing teeth right now.  I apparently took a fun sky picture inadvertently snapping a picture.  And after this morning...it is always nap time.  Then we always run out to see Santa touring the neighborhoods in the Fire Truck.
