Davis Graduation Party

Davis had to share his graduation party with two others from church, not getting solo treatment like Sam did, but all went well.   The party included celebrations for Jamison Francis and Cole Manglaris, which also meant that Magan got somewhat of a break from alot of the party planning.   It was a really fun day which included a really busy Chelsea Community Center.   The Angels came all the way down from Huntsville, as well as a large group of family came from a long way to visit and celebrate with Davis.   This is much easier for family, since graduation is on a Tuesday afternoon, and we only get 10 tickets per student for the ceremony.

I don't remember anything too exciting from the grad party, but apparently I missed Pam and Benet picking him up.   He was both of their little babies when he was little.  Davis finally got away from all the required pictures to get a chance and hang out with his friends.   And his Bama Bound decorations were a little more prepared than with Sam's who made a last minute change to Bama right before the graduation party.   He is ready and can't wait to be at Bama with Sam!

Back at the house, Magan said that we needed to do a treasure hunt with clues around the house for the little ones, so we dusted off some of our fun clues and Ruby and I set to work on this adventure the night before.   At first, she wanted to participate, but after a few teardrops decided she could have fun helping me more.   All of those kids loved this adventure and ran from room to room to find the clues.   Our favorite was Laney reading one of the clues, after Belle helped her with each of the lines.   She later told her parents in pride that "I read it all by myself with Belle helping me".   But end the end they found a ticket, and Ruby had prizes from the gift closet for all that turned in their ticket.   I think Ivy was amazed later that Ruby had a toy store in her house.

Davis racked up with generous gifts for college, hoping to get a laptop and pay for his meal plan with those gifts.   And he has done well keeping track of everything to get thank you cards out to all.   He was also excited to get his Dr. Seuss book with all the notes from his teachers since kindergarten...well, his even had his pre-school teachers in there.   I can't believe Magan keeps up with these every year, and I know they will be a treasure always.   It was a big surprise for Sam, but now the other kids have the expectation of getting theirs.   MawMaw made Davis an Alabama blanket, and was able to give it to him this weekend.  And I grabbed some old photos from a post of Lisa's to capture a little of Davis through the years.
