Road Trip 2011 - Charlotte (Our Last Stop)

We finally made it to our last stop on this tour of the East United States. And our last stop was also our largest room. We had a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. A great place to wind down our trip. And my favorite part about this hotel, which I have stayed in two other times while in Charlotte, is that is is right next to a Maccaroni Grill! Magan did not have to even ask where we were going to dinner after arriving in Charlotte this Monday.

How can you not like Maccaroni Grill? The Mama's trio, the cheese wedges, the Gellato...AND you can draw on the tables??!??? What? This is amazing!

You give Sam some paper and colors, and then you see the smile that is sometimes so hard to get out of him. Davis...well smiles are not so hard to get from him.

My training began the next day on Tuesday at noon, so while I was in training, Magan took the kids to the nearby mall to watch Cars 2. She said they were fascinated by the smurfs though. And it was a tough call, but I am going to say Cars 2 was probably the better choice. They really liked it and talked my ear off at supper that night about mater and franscesco.

That evening we ate at a Shane's Rib Shack...this is a chain restuarant, but I have never been to one, and would love to have one closer. Great Ribs! Afterwards, the boys found another water fountain. This is one of the great things about being on vacation, most of the time when you are at home, you eat out then you rush home to do...homestuff, but on vacation, we saw a water fountain, we didn't have anything to do at home, so we just sat outside, felt the cool breeze and watched the kids smile, and laugh, and run around the water fountains...seeing how close they could get wet and still call it an accident.

Magan just gets more and more beautiful each day. I love these pictures. Those kids had a great time each day with their Mom...but I think she was happy this evening when washing the clothes, that she had some alone time (and quiet time) in the laundry room while I bathed the kids and got them in bed.
