Our Journey West...Then and Now

I stole some words from Magan's facebook post for these pictures, and wanted to capture her thoughts here as well.  For this blog, just showing some of the changes from our first trip out west in 2000, a San Diego visit in 2006 and our trip thru St. Louis in 2015.

"My first trip out West was 21 years ago, just after we were engaged and I went with Scott’s Family.  Scott has been planning and booking this trip for us for over a year now. (So glad he did b/c most everywhere we went had no vacancy or tickets available)

We’ve been waiting until Ru was big enough to endure all of the driving without melting down and we’ve been saving up for the expense.

It was amazing and we lived in a postcard for 2 1/2 weeks. We saw all forms of land and stood in awe of God’s handiwork. We felt the heat of angry dessert lands and climbed to the top of a gorgeous waterfall in Yosemite. We stood under the natural arches of Utah and rode to the top of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. My personal favorite was the amazing Sequoia Trees that are evidence of the years past and the promise of all the years still ahead. I am so thankful for all of the time, sweat and long days we had together as a family enjoying this gorgeous country. God Bless America.   Since we took about a bazillion pics.  I made some little videos with most of our favorite shots. I am going to post the videos instead of all the pics and only post a few actual pics. We squeezed in as much as we possibly could fit into this trip. "
