Belle's birthday came early with all the thanksgiving festivities, as she had Linley and Sarah Beth over to the house to first watch Wicked together, then enjoy a Wicked themed party. The movie was amazing, as we all thought it would be. Me and Sam and Davis may have been the only dudes in the theater, but all left enjoying the movie just as much as the others. Davis later tried Defying Gravity bouncing into the witches hat at the kitchen table.
Magan and Ruby put a lot of prep work into the decorations for Belle's party, but it was beautiful, and the girls had fun with some gifts, cake, and then they all made wicked themed bracelets. I was happy to surprise Belle with the Brandon Sanderson gift set, which included a signed first edition copy of Defiant, a doomslug lunch box, a life size stuffed Hecho, and a Hecho pin...and I was glad Sam was there for this gift, as me, him and Belle were the only ones that had any idea about that gift.
On her actual birthday, Davis had put the streamers up all over for her, and even had a special one with a car in it hanging over her normal seat at the kitchen table. Her half awake face still makes me laugh, but she was awake enough to ask for Dad's special french toast for her b'day breakfast, how could I say no.
And then, she and Magan went out to enjoy a freebie day. Although these freebie days sure don't seem free when I look at the credit card bills. I think they hit Starbucks, Nothing Bundt cake, Kendra Scott, and many others listed on the credit card bill. And it appears that some mexican happened on that day. I am glad that they had a good day together. She is now 15, recently received her driver's permit, and joining the ladies on their shopping days. Still my sweet little girly with curlies, and so far, doesn't push me away too much for my hugs and kisses. Belle...I love watching you "Dancing through Life" and just remember that "Nobody in all of Oz, No wizard that there is or was, Is ever gonna bring you down".
