The church Thanksgiving dinner would never have happened without Terry Francis insisting that there is a holiday between Halloween and Christmas. It is not one that we decorate for, and usually gets overlooked except for the kids happy for a couple of days off, but it is a pretty great holiday to eat food and visit with family. I am thankful for this Chelsea family, one that has surrounded us for 18 years with parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters.
So what is the highlighted food...Magan's chicken casserole goes first, everyone knows it is the best. Jonathan Bailey's smoked ham was a big hit. Janie Hornsby's Bread Pudding was almost too good, almost immediately putting me into a coma. Bless their heart, the Vinsants brought some gluten free cupcakes to which I told them they were so good. When did green bean casserole take over as my favorite vegetable dish, I don't know, but there was three dishes of it, and all were great (Magan's was again the best).
