Ruby "On the Plains"

Ruby was invited to go to the Auburn game with her friends Olivia and Jane Ellen, and she loved every minute of it.   I have a few notes of this day, but Ruby talks alot.   Magan and I both cracked up because she first told us about stopping at ChickFilA on the way down to Auburn, where Olivia's dad got them their own biscuit and she got HER OWN water.   A lot of sharing goes on with our family, so it is a rare occasion to not have to share.

Later, they were able to be at Tiger Walk to see the players walk in, but two things that stood out to Ruby were 1. We got to get our picture with Aubie and 2.  Their band sang a song and everyone said a bad word in it.   Com'n Auburn, these kids don't need to hear your WDE.

Inside the game, Ruby continued her tales of the plains..."Olivia and Jane Ellen got on the giant TV screen, and the eagle flying down onto the field was sooo cool!  Auburn scored lots of touchdowns, and the other team only got one.   The band did a performance before the game AND at halftime.   And Olivia's dad got us a pretzel...EACH of us got OUR OWN PRETZEL with cheese".   This again cracked me and Magan up with the highlight of getting your very own pretzel.

On the way home, they stopped at Jacks, and guess what Ruby told us about this adventure...Olivia's dad had gotten them a burger, drink, fries and a SHAKE...ALL their own.   Our sweet little girl had a grand adventure on this day.   And she came back a little sun burned with a little Auburn shaped mark left when the sticker finally came off.   And Yes, she also got to partake in the Toomer's Corner ritual rolling.   She is a little Bama fan cause of her big brother, but the pendulum may have swung towards the Tigers on this day.
