Our second day began with worship in Troy, Missouri, and then it was out into the cornfields of Iowa. That is one big state, and they have a lot of corn and a few windmills. We did travel through the hometown of Mark Twain, Hannibal, MS.
This is also where I was surprised to see that Pink Floyd was playing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa...then Magan looked at the sign closer and saw it was Brit Floyd, a British Pink Floyd cover band. After a full day of driving, we arrived in Minneapolis around 8:30 and stopped to get some Famous Dave's BBQ for dinner. We ordered it to go to get to the hotel ASAP, and finally had a good supper in downtown Minneapolis around 9:30PM. LONG DAY. We didn't realize it, cause I think we all passed out asleep that night, but there were some massive thunderstorms that hit the downtown area at about 11:00 PM...and I thought I heard reports of a tornado warning as we were driving in, but for some reason I was just thinking...this is Minnesota, they just have snow issues up here.
