Disney Day 1 - The Drive Down

The drive down is always exciting with visions of Disney magic floating all around.  Anabelle had woken with a slight fever and on some medicine.  The drive went well, as we stopped once for breakfast, then made it all the way down to Orlando before taking a stop.

I wanted to try something different instead of downtown disney, so we stopped at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for supper.  Based on the kids response, and us going the wrong way down a hallway, and zebras being only so much fun...I would say downtown Disney may have been the better option.  But it was a new experience, and everyone had a good time

And speaking of a new experience, as we drove into our villa, the security guard let us know about a rocket launch that would go off later that night.  So me and Sam and Davis sat outside and watched a satellite rocket launch.  The very dark picture below is the launch...so we can say that we have seen one...but it was basically watching a small light rise into the sky...at one point I thought you could hear it, but I think it was just the villa jacuzzi.  And back into our Disney home...where each of the kids felt cool to have their own bed.
